How to Apply

Interested applicants are required to have a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, or an equivalent master-level degree from an accredited graduate program in a health- and/or business-related field prior to starting the fellowship program. In addition, candidates should be motivated and self-starting, and must possess excellent analytic and communication skills.

To apply, the following items must be postmarked by Oct. 15, 2009:

1. most recent copy of resume or curriculum vitae
2. undergraduate (photocopies acceptable) and graduate transcripts (originals required)
3. personal statement of how an administrative fellowship program will help achieve your career goals
4. two letters of recommendation – one from a graduate school program and one work-related

Applications will be reviewed, and selected applicants will be contacted to participate in first-round interviews to take place in late October 2009. First-round interviews may be conducted via teleconference, at selected schools, or at UPMC.

Approximately 10 finalists will be chosen to visit UPMC for second-round interviews. Second-round interviews will take place in early to mid-November. Successful candidates will be notified before January 1, 2010, of their acceptance to the UPMC Administrative Fellowship Program, and new fellows will begin the fellowship in July 2010.
